After Life

In my design for the white shirt project, I explored grief, memory, and resilience after the passing of my grandfather. Drawing from my Druze heritage, I integrated elements of faith and continuity, incorporating pre-embroidered fabrics from religious women’s head coverings alongside my own hand embroidery. This fusion of tradition and personal expression symbolizes the journey of mourning while embracing life’s continuity. The shirt serves as a visual representation of remembrance and strength, honoring the past while moving forward. Through this piece, I sought to weave a dialogue between loss, faith, and renewal.
